A ginger patched, grey and brown tom approached tigermoon and bowed.
"my great leader, Sorrel has given birth to one healthy kit" The tom reported.
"that is wonderful news frisk, thank you" The leader greatfully thanked as he padded over to the nursery to meet his mate. As he entered, he saw sorrels beauiful calico coat glistening. He glanced at the tiny golden brown shekit, it had dark flecks and light underfur, as well as gleaming pale yellow eyes. The kit mewled in protest as sorrel groomed her happily.
"im so proud of you, sorrel, shell be a wonderful warrior"

CHAPTER ONE

It was the first time fleck emerged from the saftey of the nursery. She had never imagined it would be so beautiful. Her mother approched her
"moom! camp is sooo big!" Fleck blurted out to her mother.
"yes, it is my dear, now go play with sage and fern before your learner ceremony" she purred.
"okay!" fleck raced over to the two kits, and skidded to a halt.
"hiya!" she yowled happily. The two kits looked at her in amusement. Fern, the smaller of the kits, bounded closer to her. " hi! i hear your gonna be a learner at midsun!! Thats awesome! Sage and i have to wait till midmoon tonight."Fern sighed, but her energy still showed.
"ill be cheering for you!" the larger of the kits,sage, mewed happily.
Fleck's fur pricked in sympathy" thanks" she purred

When the time came for flecks learner ceremony, fleck was about ready to jump out of her pelt. she glanced at her leader, tigermoon appearing on top of the great fallen tree. He signalled silence with a flick of his ear. The tribe grew Eerily impatient as the tribe grieved for the recent lost cats,as silence endined, tigeermoon spoke up.
" spirits of the moon, anscestors of the cats once before, behold your powers and accept this young kit into a mighty learner!" He howled into the air as he took a mighty leap onto a large stone, his weight pushing it halfway into the ground, the stone glew up and a wave of light filtered her vision as she saw the shape of a young cat run into her, she felt a small shock and everything appeared normal again. She gasped and flopped her head in surprise. Tigermoon stood over her with his chest puffed in pride.
"you are now a Moontribe Learner, you will start training with me after midmoon" Fleck nodded, as she was too weak to speak.
